Senior Process Engineer

C&S is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join our team!  The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for understanding our customer’s needs and confirming that C&S is exceeding their expectations. The Senior Process Engineer will work closely with the Engineering Manager to support the entire Engineering Department, bringing best practices and overall knowledge of engineering.

Experience in Aerospace a definite plus!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner which will exceed their expectations.
  2. Effectively communicates with customers daily as needed.
  3. New job processing assignment
  4. 2nd Engineer kickbacks and review
  5. PFMEA creation and monitoring
  6. Quoting input / print review for President
  7. Determining rework of RMA jobs
  8. Troubleshooting of ideas with shop floor for product improvement
  9. LTA Management
  10. Customer PPAP creation / submittal
  11. Customer CAR submittal
  12. Time phase review for jobs and load engineering
  13. Support and assist other Engineers as needed
  14. Data collection projects for upper management
  15. Part disposition
  16. Submittal of parts for VRR (Vendor Rejection Report)
  17. SPC creation and monitoring
  18. Stock material inventory monitoring
  19. Control of documents in IQS – addition and obsoletion
  20. Participates in Kaizen’s

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent related experience in a manufacturing environment.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS AS FOLLOWS

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to communicate, both written and verbally, with the English language.

MATHMATICAL SKILLS:

College level trigonometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

Possess a strong ability to think logically to solve manufacturing problems, or while evaluating a new process.  Must not only think in an engineering mind-set but also in relation to business as far as cost is concerned.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

 AUTOCAD.

Esprit for wire EDM.

SolidWorks.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvements.  Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.  Thinks independently.  Shows initiative, anticipates and prevents problems.  Mechanical aptitude and visual acuity.  Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.  Must be fully computer literate regarding applications software.  Previous experience in Aerospace a plus.

Member of Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
